Annanas's workshop

My name is Anna Kappler, I am 22 years old, I am from the 2023 class of the Volvic lava enamellers' school, the only school in France and in the world to offer this training.

My creations are based on the work of embellishing trachyandesite (a lava stone) from the Auvergne volcanoes, I deposit enamels on it which I fire in a kiln that can go up to 980°. Starting from this volcanic base, it is possible to do anything, the fired enamels are real resources that are impossible to damage, time has no hold on them, just like frost, wind, heat or even humidity, it is a waterproof material that withstands all types of weather.

The richness of this practice is being able to have fun as we wish with the colors and techniques that we want, on patterns of all levels which allow us to create real colorful paintings that are indestructible over time.
