Erstein, from bank to bank

This trail offers visitors the chance to discover the banks running through the Erstein area, focusing on the presence of nature and its connection with water in the Erstein area, both today and yesterday. The commune of Erstein is part of the large natural region of the Ried central d'Alsace and more specifically the Ried de l'Ill around the town centre. Although this landscape has undergone many changes throughout history (modification and stabilisation of the formerly fluid watercourses, pressures from cereal agriculture, etc.), it remains marked by the importance of the hydrographic network, which directly influences local biodiversity.
