This 35 km circuit takes you on a soothing journey through rivers, canals and charming Alsatian villages. From Rhinau, follow the banks of the Brunnwasser to Daubensand, then on to Gerstheim, where you can discover an old mill converted into a media library and a museum dedicated to Henri Loux. The route then takes you along the Rhone-Rhine canal, on a section of EuroVélo 15, before winding through Herbsheim, Rossfeld and Witternheim. In Neunkirch, take a contemplative break at the Lourdes-inspired sanctuary of the Grotte de Diebolsheim. The return journey via Friesenheim follows a river lined with nature. This varied and accessible route will delight lovers of heritage and bucolic landscapes, for a beautiful cycling interlude in the Grand Ried.
